Healthcare Training & Career Consultants
Healthcare Training & Career Consultants (HT&CC) has been serving the community since 1999. Its mission is to provide professional development and training for health care paraprofessionals.
HT&CC primarily offers a State certification preparation program to those who qualify to become a certified nurse assistant (CNA). After becoming a CNA, an individual may obtain additional training and continuing education that allows the person to become more marketable in health care institutions. Further training ensures greater safety and satisfaction to those they serve.
HT&CC has the capability of providing in-house training at nursing homes, hospitals, case management agencies, and care homes throughout Hawaii. Offerings include courses covering current mandates, such as pain management, infection control, safety, restraints, and annual updates for varying levels of nursing assistants. Also available are courses in phlebotomy, medical terminology, unit coordinating, respite care, and advance practice in nurse assisting.
To assure that its trainers provide the most current information, HT&CC has an ongoing in-service education program for its instructors. HT&CC has branches in Honolulu, leeward Oahu, and Maui.
