Waitlist SurveyThe Healthcare Association of Hawaii conducts a survey of our acute and long term care members each quarter of each year. The two-part Waitlist Survey, identifies the number of patients in an acute care bed waiting for transfer to a long term care bed or other community setting. The available beds survey determines where and what types of beds are available in our long term care facilities to receive a patient. This information makes it easier for providers who are trying to find placement for a patient, or a facility which is able to accept a patient, to make an appropriate placement. Results of the survey are tracked over months and years thus providing valuable information to providers, regulators and state agencies for their strategic planning purposes and to ensure an adequate supply of institutional beds to meet the changing needs of the population in each county. |
