DON Playbook
Overview
This 12-month series focuses on the core competencies and strategies of an effective Director of Nursing. Monthly sessions cover critical skills including leading teams, implementing strong systems for key tasks, and mastering the QAPI approach to drive performance outcomes.
Experienced nurse leaders share key insights to address common problems and high-risk issues that can derail facility success. Each session throughout the year is a mini-workshop which aims to come alongside the busy DON to offer useful strategies to de-stress the role and bring wisdom and clarity to serve residents and staff with excellence.
Each webinar is 60 minutes in length and registration includes access to on-demand content.

Continuing Education
Twelve (12) continuing education (CE) contact hours for nursing home administrators and nurses are pending for this series. To be eligible for a CE certificate each person must register for the series, pay the registration fee, attend the session(s) via the webinar software on your computer or via the GoTo Webinar™ mobile app, and complete the corresponding HAH evaluation(s). Phone only attendance is not tracked.
Proactive LTC Consulting is managing all NAB credits; HAH is managing ANCC credits.
Valid for the live webinars only: One (1) NAB contact hour has been approved for each session. Nursing Home Administrators must provide their NAB ID # when registering in order for CE credit to be automatically uploaded to their NAB Registry account. (Example of NAB ID #: R1234567).
This nursing continuing professional development activity is pending approval by Oregon Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation, for one (1) nursing contact hour per webinar.
State licensure boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses. Janine Lehman, Eleisha Wilkes, Liz Wheeler and the planners of this educational activity have no relevant financial relationships with ineligible companies to disclose.
