Aug. 28, 2025 Advocacy Day

The Healthcare Association of Hawaii’s annual Advocacy Day event will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 9:15 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Prince Waikiki Hotel. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.

The purpose of Advocacy Day is to determine HAH’s advocacy priorities for the coming year. A proposed advocacy package will be presented for discussion, and each member organization will have a say in deciding issues the Association will focus on in the coming year.

With rapid healthcare changes happening, we must use all methods of advocacy available to us at the local, state, and federal levels to serve our members. Although not all items will result in legislation, the input from members will give us direction as we pursue policy, regulatory, and legal goals.

This meeting is open to HAH members only. Regular members may vote, but associate and affiliate members may only observe the proceedings. (Regular members include healthcare systems, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, Type II ARCHs, home health and hospice organizations). Other types of members will be allowed to send one participant.

For questions regarding the event, please contact Robert Choy at rchoy@hah.org or call the main office at (808) 521-8961.
